Every year, the first monsoon rains are welcomed with open arms. Everything feels fresher in the air, the weather feels cooler, and nature awakens. Monsoon, on the other hand, is a respite from the heat; it is plagued with a problem that stays unnoticed: monsoon water contamination. According to the hospital records of India, during the rainy season every year, there is an increase in waterborne diseases during the monsoon. Water found in our home may be dirty due to flooded roads, overflowing pipes, broken pipelines & non-manageable groundwater. Clean tap water does not necessarily mean it is free from bacteria, viruses, or other substances. That is why in the rainy season, to keep safe drinking water, each household makes an extra effort.
Monsoon Water Contamination occurs when rainwater, sewage overflow, flooding, and damaged pipelines introduce bacteria, viruses, chemicals, and other pollutants into drinking water sources.
