Term and Conditions

Welcome to Ivantaa. Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before availing of our RO rental services. By subscribing to our services, you agree to abide by these Terms.

1. Definitions

1.1 “Company”, “We”, “Us”, or “Our” refers to Ivantaa.

1.2″Customer”, “You”, or “Your” refers to the individual or entity renting the RO unit.

1.3 “RO Unit” refers to the Reverse Osmosis water purifier provided on a rental basis.

1.4″Agreement” refers to this Terms and Conditions document.  

2. Scope of Services

2.1 General Service Area 

2.1.1 Ivantaa provides RO water purifiers on a rental basis for residential and commercial use within Ahmedabad & Gandhinagar and later across other regions.

2.2 Rental Tenure and Charges

  • Rental Plans & Payment Structure
    Ivantaa offers flexible rental plans to suit varying customer needs, including monthly, quarterly, semi annual and annual options.
  • The rental charges for each plan are clearly defined at the time of subscription and must be paid in advance for the entire selected tenure.
  • In case of plan upgrades or extensions, applicable charges will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis according to the updated plan duration and prevailing rates.

2.3 Security Deposit Policy

A one-time refundable security deposit (amount as per plan) is mandatory and must be paid before or at the time of installation.

  • Our technical team will not proceed with the installation unless the deposit payment is completed and acknowledged.
  • This deposit is held against possible damages, unpaid dues, or early termination adjustments.
  • Upon return of the RO unit in acceptable condition (subject to inspection), the deposit will be refunded within 15 working days.
  • Please note: The refund will be processed manually in cash only. No digital or electronic transfer methods will be used.
  • Refunds will be made at the customer’s registered address or through in-person collection at the designated service center, as per company discretion and customer convenience.

2.4 Missed Appointment & Rescheduling Fee

  • If a scheduled installation or service visit is missed due to the customer’s unavailability at the provided address or lack of access to the premises, the visit will be marked as completed. Any subsequent rescheduling requested by the customer will incur a ₹250 rescheduling fee, which must be paid prior to the next visit.
  • To avoid this charge, customers are advised to ensure they or an authorized representative are available at the scheduled time and location.

2.5 Refund Adjustments (if applicable)

  • In cases where the unit is damaged, missing parts, or returned early, charges will be deducted from the deposit amount based on the rental agreement.
  • Customers will be notified of any deductions along with a summary report of the reasons for deduction.

2.6 Late Payment or Non-Payment

  • Failure to pay rental fees on time may result in service suspension and potential retrieval of the RO system.
  • Late fees may apply as per Ivantaa ’s standard billing policy.
3. Installation and Maintenance

3.1 Installation by Authorized Technician
All RO units will be installed only by Ivantaa’s trained and authorized technicians to ensure proper setup, safety, and optimal functioning.
Installation is provided free of charge as part of the rental package.

3.2 Included Maintenance Services
Routine maintenance and filter servicing are included in the rental cost — no additional charges apply for scheduled visits, part replacements (if wear-related), or general upkeep.

3.3 Customer Access for Service
Customers must provide safe and timely access to Ivantaa’s personnel for scheduled or emergency maintenance. Missed service windows due to inaccessibility may delay servicing and impact performance.

3.4 Prohibited Actions – Unauthorized Servicing or Tampering

Under no circumstances should the customer attempt to open, repair, or service the RO unit themselves, or allow unauthorized technicians or third-party service providers to handle it.


Any such activity will be considered tampering, and may result in:

  • Immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund
  • Forfeiture of the security deposit
    Additional penalties for damage or unapproved modifications
  • Possible legal action if damage is intentional or fraudulent
  • Ivantaa reserves the right to inspect any unit suspected of being mishandled and charge for repair or full unit recovery if tampering is confirmed.

3.5 Relocation or Re-installation
If the customer wishes to relocate the RO unit to another premises, the request must be placed with Ivantaa’s support team.
Unauthorized relocation, even within the same property, is prohibited and treated as tampering.

3.6 Water Quality Compliance
Ivantaa installations are designed to work within certain water quality parameters (TDS, pressure, etc.).

If the unit is damaged due to non-compliant water sources, Ivantaa is not liable, and the customer may be responsible for repair costs or system replacement.

4. Ownership

4.1 All RO units, accessories, and installation kits provided by Ivantaa remain the exclusive property of Ivantaa at all times.

4.2 Customers are granted only a temporary, non-transferable right to use the equipment for the duration of their active rental plan. No ownership, title, or proprietary interest is transferred to the customer under any circumstances.

4.3 The customer shall not:

  • Sell, mortgage, sub-lease, pawn, pledge, or otherwise dispose of or attempt to transfer ownership or possession of the unit.
  • Use the unit at a location other than the registered address without prior written approval from Ivantaa .
  • Tamper with or remove any ownership tags, QR codes, or Ivantaa branding affixed to the unit.

4.4 Any such attempt to misappropriate or dispose of Ivantaa -owned property will be treated as a breach of agreement and may lead to:

  • Immediate retrieval of the RO unit
  • Forfeiture of the security deposit
  • Legal action for recovery and damages

4.5 In the event of theft, damage, or loss of the unit while in the customer’s possession, the customer shall be liable for the full market value of the equipment, unless covered under Ivantaa ’s rental damage policies.

4.6 Ivantaa reserves the right to inspect or retrieve the equipment from the customer’s premises in case of:

  • Service termination
  • Prolonged non-payment
  • Suspected tampering or relocation

5. Customer Responsibilities
6. Return of Equipment

6.1 Condition of Return

Upon completion, cancellation, or early termination of the rental period, the RO unit must be returned to Ivantaa in proper working condition, with reasonable wear and tear permitted.
The unit should be:

  • Clean and free from any deliberate damage or misuse
  • Inclusive of all accessories originally provided (pipes, diverter valves, power adapters, etc.)
  • Properly disconnected only by a Ivantaa -authorized technician

6.2 Request for Pickup

Customers are required to notify Ivantaa at least 3 working days before the intended date of return or agreement closure.

  • De-installation will be conducted by our technician at no cost
  • If a customer fails to inform us and removes the unit on their own, it will be considered unauthorized handling and may lead to penalties

6.3 Inspection & Condition Verification

Upon return, the RO unit will undergo a quality inspection by Ivantaa ’s technical team.

    • If found in acceptable condition, the security deposit will be refunded within 15 working days
  • Please note: The refund will be processed manually in cash only. No digital or electronic transfer methods will be used.
  • If any damage, missing parts, or evidence of tampering is identified, deductions will be made as per Ivantaa’s damage assessment policy

6.4 Non-Return or Abandonment

Failure to return the RO unit within 3 days of rental expiration, without valid communication, will result in:

Full forfeiture of the security deposit.
Potential legal action for recovery of the unit or its value.
If the equipment is untraceable or found irreparably damaged, the customer will be liable to pay the full market value of the unit.

6.5 Early Termination Adjustments

If the customer returns the unit before the agreed rental term ends, the usage will be recalculated based on the shorter plan rates (monthly basis), and the difference will be deducted from the deposit or billed separately.

6.6 Relocation without Return

If the customer shifts location and retains the unit without informing Ivantaa, this will be treated as a breach of agreement, subject to the same penalties as non-return or tampering.

6.7 Cancellation & Termination Policy

6.7.1 Plan-Specific Cancellation Rules
Ivantaa offers multiple rental plans (e.g., 1-month, 3-month, 6-month, 12-month). In the event of early cancellation by the customer, the applicable charges will be recalculated based on the nearest shorter-term plan.

Example: If a customer subscribes to a 12-month plan but returns the unit after 6 months, the rental fee will be revised and charged at the prevailing 6-month plan rate, and any applicable difference will be deducted from the security deposit.

6.7.2 Grace Period & Plan Expiry
After your current rental plan expires, a grace period of 3 calendar days is allowed for renewal or plan upgrade. If no action is taken within this window:

  • Charges for the next full month will automatically apply based on your last subscribed plan.
  • Ivantaa reserves the right to retrieve the RO unit without further notice if the customer fails to renew or upgrade.

6.7.3 Official Mode of Cancellation
All cancellation or termination requests must be submitted via the Ivantaa official website.
Requests made via phone, WhatsApp, or any other unofficial channel will not be considered valid. Customers are responsible for submitting cancellation notices through the appropriate digital form available on the site.

6.8 Refund Policy

6.8.1 Security Deposit Refund Timeline
Refunds of the one-time security deposit will be processed within 15 business days after the RO unit has been:

  • Retrieved by a Ivantaa-authorized technician, and
  • Successfully inspected for condition, completeness, and compliance with usage terms.

6.8.2 Conditions for Full Refund Eligibility
A 100% refund of the deposit is applicable only if the following conditions are met:

  • The unit is returned in good working condition, with normal wear and tear.
  • All original accessories (pipes, diverter valves, adapters, filters, mounting brackets, etc.) are returned.
  • No signs of tampering, unauthorized servicing, physical damage, or misuse are detected.

There are no unpaid dues, including:

  • Outstanding rental payments
  • Plan difference adjustments due to early termination
  • Late fees or penalties
  • Charges for damaged or missing components

6.8.3 Partial Refunds & Deductions
If any discrepancies are found, Ivantaa reserves the right to deduct applicable charges from the security deposit. Customers will receive:

A summary report detailing the reason(s) for deduction, including itemized costs for:

  • Damage to unit or components
  • Missing accessories
  • Recalculated rental based on shorter plan
  • Unauthorized tampering or relocation

The remaining balance of the deposit (if any) refunded to their preferred account.

6.8.4 Refund Modes
Refunds will be initiated via:

  • Please note: The refund will be processed manually in cash only. No digital or electronic transfer methods will be used.

6.8.5 Customer Responsibility for Refund Eligibility
It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Schedule the return at least 3 working days in advance
  • Ensure the unit is accessible for pickup
  • Avoid dismounting or transporting the RO unit themselves
  • Retain the original invoice or agreement copy for reference during refund processing

6.8.6 Refund Delay Disclaimer
Refund timelines may be extended in cases of:

  • Disputes related to unit condition or missing parts
  • Non-cooperation during pickup or inspection
  • National holidays or force majeure events

6.9 Limitation of Liability

Ivantaa shall not be responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use or inability to use the RO unit.

7. Limitation of Liability
  1. Scope of Liability
    Ivantaa shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
    • Loss of use
    • Loss of data
    • Business interruption
    • Loss of income, revenue, or profits
    • Personal inconvenience or mental distress
      – arising from the use, inability to use, malfunction, or performance of the rented RO unit.
  2. Third-Party Usage
    Ivantaa is not responsible for any issues, damages, or injuries that occur if the RO unit is:
    • Used by unauthorized third parties
    • Reinstalled or relocated without Ivantaa’s approval
      Modified, opened, or repaired by non-Ivantaa personnel
  3. Water Quality Disclaimer
    Ivantaa makes no guarantee that the RO system will correct or eliminate all impurities in water that exceeds manufacturer-recommended TDS or U.V pressure limits.
    • If local water quality is outside safe parameters (TDS > 2000 ppm, pressure < 4 psi or > 40 psi), performance may be affected and Ivantaa holds no liability in such cases.
  4. Force Majeure Events
    Ivantaa shall not be liable for failure to deliver services or fulfill obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
    • Natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, lightning)
    • Power failures, supply shortages
    • Acts of God, war, strikes, or pandemics
    • Governmental orders or regulatory constraints
  5. Maximum Liability Limit
    In any case where Ivantaa is found liable under applicable law, our total liability shall be limited to the rental amount paid by the customer during the specific rental period in question.
8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Ivantaa, its affiliates, employees, agents, directors, and service partners from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, proceedings, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

  • Your misuse, mishandling, or unauthorized modification of the RO unit
  • Any violation of the Terms & Conditions or breach of the rental agreement
  • Use of the RO unit in a manner inconsistent with safety guidelines, user manuals, or installation instructions
  • Damage to property, bodily injury, or legal liability caused directly or indirectly by your use or negligence
  • Failure to return the equipment, or unauthorized relocation, tampering, or third-party usage
  • Non-compliance with applicable local laws or regulations while using the equipment

This indemnity obligation will survive the termination or expiration of the rental agreement and your use of Ivantaa’s services.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

10. Changes to Terms

Ivantaa reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.

11. Ivantaa Rental Plan Usage & Early Termination Policy

1. Rental Plan Duration and Pro-Rata Adjustment

  • Customers are encouraged to select a rental plan based on their estimated usage duration: 28 days, 90 days, 180 days, or 360 days.
  • If a customer selects a shorter plan and uses the unit longer, the extended days will be charged at the shortest plan rate until a longer plan is opted.
  • If a customer selects a longer plan but uses it shorter, then:

     Early Termination & Plan Adjustment Policy

In the event that a customer returns the RO unit before the completion of the selected rental tenure, the actual rental period will be recalculated based on the nearest shorter plan as per Ivantaa’s pricing structure. The difference between the initially paid amount and the recalculated amount will be deducted from the security deposit or charged separately, whichever is applicable.

      Plan Adjustment Logic

  • Ivantaa rental plans are designed with progressive discounts for longer durations.
  • Early termination voids the benefit of long-term discounts.
  • Actual usage will be evaluated and charged based on the closest lower plan.

Examples:

  • If a customer selects a 6-month plan at ₹479/month (total ₹2,874), but returns the unit after 5 months, charges will be adjusted to the 3-month plan rate of ₹499/month, totaling ₹2,495. The difference will be refunded or retained accordingly.
  • If a customer cancels a 6-month plan after just 2 months, the usage will still be billed under the minimum 3-month plan slab at ₹499/month (i.e., ₹1,497), even if only 2 months were used.

Important Notes:

  • No refunds will be issued for unused days within the adjusted billing period.
  • Partial months are counted as full for billing purposes.
    Customers are advised to choose plans aligned with their expected usage to avoid unnecessary deductions.

Ivantaa reserves the right to modify rate slabs or revise plan mapping logic with or without prior notice, while honoring active customer commitments.

  • Ivantaa reserves the right to deduct any plan difference or early termination charges from the refundable deposit.

2. Deposit & Deductions

  • fixed one-time deposit (based on plan) will be collected before installation.
  • This deposit is refundable, subject to:
  • Return of the product in working condition (with normal wear and tear).
  • Any dues (e.g., plan upgrades, damage, or missing parts) will be adjusted from the deposit.
  • Early termination deductions due to plan adjustment are also deducted from the deposit.
12. Ivantaa – Free Installation Terms & Conditions

Note: Standard time to process an installation request is 48 hours from the time of receiving the request. For locations beyond municipality limits, additional time may be required.

How to Raise an Installation Request

  • All installation requests must be submitted through the official Ivantaa website only. Once your request is received and verified, our installation team will schedule a technician visit.
  • Customers can expect the delivery and installation to be completed within 7 to 15 working days from the date of request submission, depending on location and availability.
  • Please ensure your contact details and address are accurate and accessible to avoid delays.
  • Please include your mobile number and complete delivery address while raising the request.

 

12.1 Installation Pre-Requisites

To ensure a smooth and successful installation of your Ivantaa RO unit, the following site conditions and documentation requirements must be fulfilled:

A. Site Readiness

  • The installation site must be safe, well-lit, and easily accessible for technicians.
  • Installations in non-standard or unsafe locations — such as ceilings, outdoor walls, overhead tanks, or closed compartments — will be refused.
  • There must be an operational water source and a power socket within 3 feet of the intended installation point.
  • Installation duration may exceed 75 minutes, depending on site conditions, water pressure, plumbing layout, or product type.

B. Old Unit Dismounting (If Applicable)

  • If you have an existing water purifier, the dismounting process must be straightforward and risk-free.
  • Ivantaa is not responsible for any damage caused while removing previously installed devices or accessories.

C. Service Time Expectations

  • Routine service visits may take 45 minutes or longer, depending on unit condition, filter replacement needs, or accessibility.

D. Identity Verification at Installation

  • Customers must provide valid government-issued photo ID proof for at least two adult household members at the time of installation.
  • Accepted ID proofs include: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License.
  • Technicians will record ID details as part of Ivantaa’s verification and compliance process.

E. Proof of Purchase

  • Customers must provide a valid invoice or rental agreement, either digitally or in print, during the technician’s visit.
  • Failure to provide proof may delay or invalidate the installation appointment.

The standard Ivantaa installation kit will include:

  • External Pre-Filter
  • Wall Mounting Kit
  • Tubes (as per model)
  • SMPS Adapter
  • Diverter Valve
    RO Membrane

12.2 Additional Parts & Non-Standard Installation Conditions

In order to ensure a smooth installation, please note the following important guidelines related to site preparation and additional components:

A. Responsibility for Additional Parts

If any extra accessories or modifications are required beyond the standard installation kit (e.g., extension pipes, booster pumps, sockets, clamps), the customer has two options:

  • Purchase the required components directly from the Ivantaa technician, OR
  • Arrange the necessary parts independently prior to the technician’s arrival.

B. Electrical & Wall-Mounting Requirements

  • A functioning power socket must be located within close proximity (within 3 feet) of the installation site.
  • In case no socket is available, the customer is responsible for arranging one before installation.
  • If the customer insists on mounting the RO unit on a tiled, glass, or delicate wall surface, our technicians may refuse to drill if they lack the appropriate safety tools or risk mitigation support.

C. Drilling & Civil Work

Ivantaa technicians are trained for standard installations only. They do not carry out civil work, electrical wiring, tile drilling, or modifications that require special tools or safety gear. In such cases, customers must:

  • Change the installation location to a compliant area, OR
  • Arrange for the necessary work to be completed beforehand by a qualified third party.

D. Site Rejection & Rescheduling

If the site is deemed unfit for installation due to any of the above conditions, the visit may be rescheduled or cancelled, and standard rescheduling charges (₹250) may apply.

 

Water Input Requirements

  • TDS of input water must be ≤ 2000 ppm.
  • Water pressure:
    • 4 to 40 psi for standard RO models
    • 5 to 40 psi for premium RO+Ionizer models

If these specifications are not met, additional accessories such as booster pumps or regulators will be required at extra cost.

 

Services Included

  • Dismounting of existing purifier (if no special tools or alteration is required)
  • Mounting of Ivantaa RO unit
  • Connection to available water and power sources
    Initial performance check and product demo

Services Not Included

  • Complex installations requiring cutting, drilling, ladders, or special labor/equipment
  • Unavailable or inoperable power/water sources — additional setup work is chargeable
    Plumbing or electrical work, and extra accessories such as tubes, booster pumps, taps, switches, etc.
    Installation support in case of non-compliant input water quality
13. ivantaa RO Rentals – Maintenance Policy & Additional Terms

Free Maintenance Coverage

As part of the rental service, Ivantaa covers routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and performance checks of the RO unit at no extra charge throughout the rental period.

  • Free installation and standard de-installation are included with every rental plan.
  • Routine service visits and filter replacements (as per usage cycle) are free of cost.
  • Breakdowns due to manufacturing defects are covered under the rental agreement.
  • Customers are responsible for any physical damage, negligence, or misuse of the product.

Maintenance Exclusions

The following scenarios are not covered under the free maintenance and will be chargeable:

  1. Environmental or accidental damage, such as:
    • Floods, fire, lightning, electrical surges
    • Riots, vandalism, pest infestation
    • Transit damage (e.g., during relocation)
    • Force majeure events
  2. Improper handling or misuse, including:
    • Not following usage guidelines in the user manual
    • Tampering or unauthorized modifications
    • Usage of unapproved accessories or spare parts
  3. Unauthorised servicing by anyone other than Ivantaa’s certified technicians.
  4. Cosmetic or structural repairs, including:
    • Body panels, casing, tubes, diverter valves, chrome-finish items
    • Painting, polishing, or decorative components
  5. Service visits for relocation, customer retraining, or uninstallation outside regular terms.
  6. Pre-existing defects or conditions before the start of the rental contract.

In cases where service outside the free maintenance scope is requested, Ivantaa will provide an estimate for approval prior to work.

14. Other Terms & Conditions
  • The rental agreement is non-transferable and non-cancellable mid-term, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Ivantaa reserves the right to retain any replaced or defective parts.
  • Upgrades or safety modifications required due to government or regulatory mandates must be borne by the customer.
  • No reminders will be sent for rental plan renewals — the customer is responsible for timely renewal.
  • Ivantaa reserves the right to refuse renewal based on product age, model, or usage conditions. 

Force Majeure

Neither Ivantaa nor the customer shall be held liable for delays or failures to perform obligations under the agreement if such failure is due to reasons beyond their control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters
  • Government restrictions
  • Epidemics or pandemics
  • Labor strikes or civil unrest
  • Other force majeure circumstances
15. Ivantaa Refund Policy

One-Time Refundable Deposit

  • A refundable deposit of (based on plan) is collected at the time of installation for all Ivantaa RO rental plans.
  • This deposit serves as security against any damage, loss, or unpaid dues during the rental tenure.

Refund Eligibility and Deductions

The deposit will be fully refunded to the customer within 15 working days of unit pickup and inspection, provided:

    • The RO unit is returned in good working condition with no physical or internal damage (normal wear and tear is acceptable).
    • There are no pending dues such as:
      • Unpaid rental charges
      • Early termination penalties
      • Charges for misuse or missing components

Refund Timeline

  • Refunds will be processed within 15 working days after successful return and verification of the RO unit by Ivantaa’s technician.
  • Refunds will be transferred via bank transfer or UPI to the original payment source or as per customer preference.
16 . Legal Compliance and Rental Agreement Framework

Ivantaa adheres to applicable laws and guidelines related to equipment rentals in India, especially for RO water purifiers provided on a recurring rental basis. The following section outlines the legal framework, documentation standards, and compliance obligations relevant to the rental business.

A. BIS Certification for RO Branding & Sales

If Ivantaa manufactures or sells RO units under its own brand (as opposed to purely renting them), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification is mandatory as per Indian law. This ensures that RO units meet safety, quality, and water purification standards set by the government.

B. Written Rental Agreement – Legal Necessity

Under Indian law, a written rental agreement is essential to protect both the service provider and the customer. Ivantaa maintains formal rental contracts that are:

  • Dated and duly signed by both parties.
    Printed on appropriate stamp paper (as per state regulations).
  • Registered with appropriate authorities if the rental duration exceeds 11 months.

The agreement clearly outlines:

  • Rental tenure and payment terms.
  • Deposit amount and refund terms.
  • Maintenance responsibilities.
  • Service obligations, cancellation terms, and breakdown clauses.

Any modifications or amendments must also be documented in writing, signed by both parties.

C. Mandatory Documents for Commercial Rental Agreements

For commercial or business-use customers, two from the following documents are typically required:

  • PAN card or valid government-issued ID.
  • Proof of business (GST, Udyam, etc.).
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association (for companies).
  • Passport and visa (for foreign nationals).
  • Power of Attorney (if representing another party).
  • Two recent passport-size photographs.
  • Proof of address and installation site access.
  • Any partnership deeds, dealership certificates, or ownership agreements relevant to the usage of the RO unit.

D. Validity and Contents of Rental Agreement

Each Ivantaa rental agreement includes the following key components:

  • Names and signatures of the customer and Ivantaa (or authorized representative).
  • Exact address of the installation and use.
  • Rental amount, deposit, billing interval, and mode of payment.
  • Responsibility for payment of additional charges such as maintenance, electricity, or TDS (if applicable).
  • Facilities included (e.g., installation, water analysis, demo support).
  • Rights of access for inspection, servicing, or recovery.
  • Method and penalties for early termination.
  • Obligations regarding proper usage, return condition, and relocation rules.

  • When Customer A refers Customer B, A earns bonus rental days based on the plan B subscribes to.
  • A unique referral code is generated automatically for each customer upon account creation.
  • B must enter A’s referral code at the time of booking the rental plan.

  • One can refer unlimited friends and will earn a bonus every time someone uses their code and completes installation.

  • Multi-level referrals are not applicable. Only the direct referrer (A) gets the reward for B’s purchase — if B refers someone, B gets the next reward, not A.

Important Notes

  • The referral code must be entered at the time of rental booking. No bonus will be granted retroactively.
  • Bonuses are not applicable if the referred user subscribes to a free trial plan.
  • Ivantaa reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral program at any time, without prior notice, in case of misuse or fraudulent activity.
19. Privacy & Data Protection

Ivantaa is committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of all customer data collected during the course of providing its rental services:

  • All personal data such as name, address, government ID, phone number, and payment details are stored in secure, encrypted systems.
  • This information is used solely for purposes including but not limited to service delivery, billing, customer support, verification, and communication.
  • Ivantaa does not sell, rent, or disclose customer information to any third party except where required by law or authorized service partners strictly for operational purposes.

By signing up, you agree to Ivantaa’s Privacy Policy, which outlines our data collection and handling practices in full.

20. Customer Communication Consent

By subscribing to Ivantaa’s services, the customer consents to receiving transactional, service-related, and promotional communication via:

  • SMS
  • WhatsApp
  • Email
  • Automated phone calls (where applicable)

These communications may include installation updates, service reminders, billing alerts, feedback requests, plan renewal notices, and promotional offers.
Customers who wish to opt out of promotional communications may do so by emailing support@ivantaa.com or clicking the “unsubscribe” link in marketing emails.

21. Plan Auto-Renewal (Optional Feature)

Ivantaa offers an optional auto-renewal facility for selected rental plans. If enabled:

  • Your rental plan will be automatically renewed at the same duration and rate (or latest available rate) upon expiry.
  • The security deposit remains active unless updated or refunded upon cancellation.
  • You will receive a reminder 5 days prior to the renewal date.

To opt-out of auto-renewal, customers must disable the setting from their Ivantaa dashboard or submit a cancellation request via the website at least 3 working days prior to plan expiry.

22. Penalty Cap Clause

In cases where penalties are applicable — such as unit damage, non-return, or severe breach of terms — Ivantaa’s financial claims shall not exceed:

  • The total refundable security deposit, and
  • The full market value of the installed RO unit (as listed on the Ivantaa website at the time of rental)

This cap excludes intentional damage, theft, or fraud, which may invite legal action beyond the penalty amount.

23. Usage Conditions in Shared or Multi-User Environments

Ivantaa units may be installed in:

  • Shared residential accommodations
  • Rental properties
  • Commercial or co-working spaces

In all such cases, the primary customer listed on the rental agreement remains solely responsible for:

  • Payment of dues
  • Care and usage of the RO unit
  • Coordination during service visits
  • Return and refund conditions

Ivantaa will not mediate internal disputes among housemates, tenants, or staff. Any change in primary user must be requested through Ivantaa with supporting documentation and approval.

24. Right to Refuse or Withdraw Service

Ivantaa reserves the right to refuse service or terminate the agreement under the following conditions:

  • Abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior toward technicians or customer service staff
  • Unsafe, hazardous, or unsanitary installation environments
  • Continuous unavailability or failed service attempts
  • Non-compliance with site requirements or Terms & Conditions

In such cases, Ivantaa may forfeit the customer’s eligibility for refund and initiate retrieval of the RO unit.

25. Essential Rental Agreement Clauses

Ivantaa ensures transparency and legal clarity in all rental engagements. In accordance with best practices and legal compliance standards, the following key terms are explicitly covered in every rental agreement.

25.1 Duration and Renewal Terms

  • The rental tenure is clearly mentioned in the agreement, with options ranging from monthly to annual plans.
  • Customers may renew their plans upon completion of the current term by contacting Ivantaa.
  • Renewal is subject to equipment condition, updated rates, and Ivantaa’s approval.
  • No automatic renewals — customers are responsible for renewing their agreement before expiry.

25.2 Payment Details

  • Rent must be paid in advance for the selected tenure (monthly, quarterly, or annually).
  • Payment modes include UPI, bank transfer, or other digital options notified by Ivantaa.
  • Any upgrades, plan changes, or overages are calculated on a pro-rata basis and adjusted accordingly.

25.3 Security Deposit

  • A one-time refundable security deposit is collected during installation.
  • The deposit amount depends on the product model (Eg. 999 for 90 days).
  • The deposit is refundable after inspection, subject to any deductions for damage, loss, or unpaid dues.

25.4 Maintenance Responsibilities

  • Ivantaa is responsible for routine service, filter changes, and performance checks during the rental period.
  • Customers are responsible for ensuring safe access during scheduled visits and for avoiding any tampering or misuse.
  • In case of misuse, force majeure damage, or unauthorized relocation, repair/replacement costs may be chargeable.

25.5 Termination Clause

  • Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days’ written notice.
  • Ivantaa may terminate the agreement without prior notice in case of breach (non-payment, tampering, illegal relocation, etc.).
  • Upon early termination, charges will be recalculated using shorter plan rates and adjusted from the deposit.
